Ramadan Mubarak. There have been no credible sightings of the moon tonight, hence the month of Shabaan 1430 is 30 days and will end on Friday August 21th, 2009. Ramadan starts inshaa Allah Saturday August 22st, 2009. We ask Allah (glory be to to Him) to accept from us our intentions and good deeds, and forgive our shortcomings and sins.
Prayer Times:
UPDATE: Prayer Times Change Sunday Sept 6th: Fajr 6:00am, Ishaa: 9:00pm
Ishaa prayer iqama is 9:20pm, followed by taraweeh approx. 9:30pm
Fajr remains at 5:30am.
Asr changes to 5:00pm, effective Thursday 8/20
Iftar Sponsorship:
Fridays & Sundays: Those who wish to feed a fasting Muslim may donate $10 per person to DAT. DAT will provide food to the community on Fridays and Sundays.
Saturdays: Saturdays remain available for those who wish to share food they prepare themselves with the community (share a dish).
Overflow Parking:
DAT has made arrangements with Howard County to utilize the Cedar Lane park across from the Masjid every night during Ramadan from 9pm to 11:30pm (M-Th) and 8pm to 11:30pm (F-Sun) for overflow parking. The Cedar Lane parking lot will remain open during these hours and will be lit.
Please park your vehicle in the Cedar Lane parking area or on the designated overflow grass area in the park. Please avoid parking in the neighborhood streets and on Rt 108.
Security and Traffic Mgmt:
DAT has contracted with security officers who are authorized to monitor and patrol the DAT properties and assist community members enter the property. For everyone's convienence and safety please follow directions regarding traffic, children supervision, and parking.
No children are allowed to be left unmonitored at any time on DAT property, DAT does not assume responsibility for children not accompanied by their parents or guardian.
Double parking is stricly prohibited.
Parking on grassy areas within the DAT property is not allowed.
Zakat Donations:
There is a special box for Zakat Al-Mal located in both entrance lobbies.
Zakat Al-Fitr boxes will become available after the the first week of Ramadan, and will be circulated inside the Masjid during Ishaa/Taraweeh prayers break.
